Series One: The Art of Effective Email

Email has become the dominant form of communication in business today. While email is a highly effective communication medium, many individuals have developed ineffective email habits and many corporations have developed an unhealthy email culture. Using email to avoid real communication or emotional dialogue essential to an effective organization has become common in today's workplace.

"The average wired worker checks their email 23 times
  a day, debilitating their productivity"

The Art of Effective Email assists participants to confront their chaotic and reactive email work habits and design their own proactive system and relationship with email. The program builds an effective foundation for a powerful shift in the email culture of an organization.

The first section is an interactive inquiry in which participants get to tell the truth about their email habits and begin a dialogue that will allow them to regain control of their email. The program is enhanced by a series of short exercises in pairs and small groups. Participants begin the real work of designed their email plan, managing realistic expectations and building a healthy relationship with email. The participants leave the program with a set of strategies, handouts, homework and an initial action plan to take back their email.

The second section builds on the first by addressing the challenge of an organizational shift in the culture of email and beginning a conversation for building team email protocols. A series of advanced email strategies are addressed and participants commit to an implementations plan with a structure of accountability.

The coaching sessions are essential to re-presence the work of the first two presentations as participants confront altering their old email habits and in the existing environment of email expectations. Successes are celebrated as participants are supported with a step-by step-program to develop a health and highly effective relationship with email.
